Hot Tub Boat - Shop Tech

We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our small boat shop team. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of carpentry skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in fit-out plumbing and electrical systems. This role will involve assisting with both fleet maintenance and the construction of new boats.

Responsibilities: 

1. **Carpentry Skills:** Proficiency in using shop carpentry tools such as table saws, drills, sanders, and measuring equipment to assist in boat construction and repair.

2. **Willingness to Learn:** Eagerness to learn new skills and techniques related to boat building, maintenance, and repair under the guidance of experienced craftsperson.

3. **Fit-Out Plumbing and Electrical Systems:** Assist in the installation and maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems within boats, including but not limited to wiring, piping, and fixture installations.

4. **Fleet Maintenance:** Participate in routine maintenance tasks for our fleet of boats, including cleaning, painting, varnishing, and minor repairs.

5. **New Boat Construction:** Support the construction of new boats from start to finish, including hull assembly, deck fitting, cabinetry, and finishing work.

6. **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with shop carpentry tools and techniques. Proficiency with tables saws, Grinders, and bandsaws.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions, environments, and small spaces.

Fulltime 25$-40$/hr Depending on Experience
