It's Been 10 Years Since Our Boat First Hit The Water.
A decade ago, our founder - Adam Karpenske - was aboard his houseboat, desperate for the warmth and comfort that only a Hot Tub can provide. Without room to install a Hot Tub in his home, he thought of a solution.
He put his mind to work on how he could craft a vessel that would stay hot, while still maintaining a sleek style. He drew the boat over the weekend and with the help of others, lofted the hull over the course of the following week.
By New Year's Eve, he had built the working prototype of the world's first Hot Tub Boat. Just a few months later, Hot Tub Boats was born.
A lot has changed since that fateful fall in Seattle.
We've built quite a few more Hot Tub Boats.
We've hired 12 amazing staff members and been able to offer them a living wage and benefits.
We've served tens of thousands incredible people from all over the world.
We've been featured in CNN, Netflix, Vanity Fair, The Travel Channel, Business Insider, Frommers, and many many other publications.
We've raised over 10K for local non-profits and donated hundreds of rentals to local charities and organizations for their own fundraising efforts.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our community. From Seattle and beyond, the support we have received is humbling and fills us with immense gratitude.
When we had our lease pulled out from under us, the community rallied to keep us afloat.
When COVID hit, the community rallied to keep us afloat.
This is why we focus so much on giving back through our Hot Tub Boats Cares initiative. Because community has given so much to us over the last decade.
As for the next decade?
We will continue to offer incredible jobs to the amazing people who work for us.
We will continue to provide a luxurious experience, accessible to all.
We will continue to, of course, build more Hot Tub Boats.
And who knows, maybe we will be coming to a city near you sooner than you think!
If you are unfamiliar with the world of Hot Tub Boats, then you can learn more about who we are and what we do here.
